Dear Parish Youth Council & the Young of our Parish,
A grace and hope-filled Easter to you and to your entire family!
Do not be afraid, fear not! This is the word of God directly from the lips of the Lord 365 times repeated in the Bible and so every morning that we wake up, fresh as the dew is the Divine Mercy of our Savior for all those who seek and cling to Him. Do not be overwhelmed or terrified by fear or the bad news that you hear around, rather be firm in your faith for Christ is the stone rejected by the builders who became our chief cornerstone. You are also has been made as His living stones fortified by His grace and blessing. May your faith in the Resurrected Christ be solid as a Rock for He is indeed, the “Rock of our Eternal Salvation.” “You are the fair hope of our nation, you are the Church of today and of tomorrow”.
At this unprecedented time of global crisis brought by the pandemic-Covid-19, I assure you of my unceasing prayers and spiritual support and all the graces we need to defeat the invisible enemy. This is also a spiritual warfare which I am certain that this battle has won already by our Victor-King, Jesus Christ who has conquered Satan, his enslavement, sin, death, decay and hell. Our hope in him will not disappoint us for I am sure and certain that through His infinite mercy and the paschal mystery that he conferred on us we become His co-conquerors of this spiritual battle. Christ has died, Christ is truly risen and Christ will come again…Alleluia!
I would like to re-connect with you through Google Meet which Shayla Boutwell has provided for us. I would like to see you in the “Window of the Sacred” though virtually but it is important for us to get in touch with each other and hear from you. I hope that modern technology can aid us in this regard. I phoned you ahead of time and Shayla has connected with you through email. Time flies, this video chat will be done by tomorrow already, May 1, 2020 at 7pm after my 6pm daily –of the Weekday Masses. This is also the historic day that the North American continent will be consecrated by Canadian and US Bishops to our Blessed Ever-Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church whose intercessory prayer is very powerful in this challenging time of pandemic. Upon my arrival in July 2019 and during my pastoral installation, I consecrated our parishes and missions to our Blessed Mother too. Pope Francis on the other hand has encouraged us, our respective family to pray daily the Rosary in this month of May and pray his Marian prayer to defeat Covid-19.
Thanks sincerely for your collaboration and looking after the needs of our Catholic family of St. Stephen’s and surrounding missions. Keep safe always, keep healthy, keep holy, and may the Lord in His Infinite Mercy protect and keep you! Rest assured of my personal prayers and daily Masses. God bless you richly! Alleluia!
Yours devotedly in Christ,
